Unit and Department Requests

Christopher Pheneger, Diversity Educator, Facilitating Understanding Generational Differences Session

A university unit, department or affiliate may request any of the diversity education courses for their team or a community building and inclusive practices session for their undergraduate or graduate student staff. Requests can be made for virtual (Zoom) or in-person sessions and planned as a stand-alone professional development opportunity or part of a larger staff development plan or staff retreat or training.   

  • For virtual (Zoom) sessions
  • The DEI Education Program will provide: 
    1) the Zoom registration link to share with your participants 
    2) virtual copies of course material  

    The Unit or Department must provide: 
    1) a minimum of two (2) hours scheduled for the session*
    2) the unit or department is responsible for any marketing for the session and is responsible for ensuring their selected audience attends

    *The two (2) hour minimum can be modified based on department need.
  • For in-person sessions
  • The DEI Education Program will provide: 
    1) virtual copies of course material 

    The Unit or Department must provide: 
    1) a minimum of two (2) hours scheduled for the session* 
    2) a location that includes audio/visual access 
    3) the attendance roster that includes participant names and UC Davis emails
    4) the unit or department is responsible for any marketing for the session and is responsible for ensuring their selected audience attends

    *The two (2) hour minimum can be modified based on department need.
